Terms of Use – Kids Included LMS 

Effective Date: 20.09.2025 

Welcome to https://lms.kidsincluded.ca/ (the “Platform”) operated by Kids Included, a non-profit organization based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. By accessing or using this Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. 

 

1. Eligibility & Account Creation 

  • Users must create an account to access the Platform. Required information includes: 
  • Name, email, password 
  • Program name, province/territory, city, job title 
  • Staff/Internal users and participants in Kids Included programs may access the Platform for free using a coupon/discount code provided by the program owner or director. 
  • External users not affiliated with our programs must contact us to request access and will receive an invoice for payment. 

 

2. User Responsibilities 

By using this Platform, you agree to: 

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. 
  • Keep your login credentials confidential. Sharing your account is prohibited. 
  • Use the Platform only for its intended purpose (learning and professional development). 
  • Respect all intellectual property rights and not copy, distribute, or misuse content. 

Prohibited activities include: 

  • Misuse or disruption of the Platform 
  • Attempting to access other users’ accounts 
  • Using the Platform for unlawful purposes 

 

3. Course Materials & Intellectual Property 

  • The course content on the platform is owned by Kids Included: 
    • Mini Module 1 – Transitions
    • Mini Module 2 – Problem Solving
    • Mini Module 3 – Emotional Literacy
    • Mini Module 4 – Routines & Visuals
    • Mini Module 5 – Shared Expectations
    • Module 1&2 – Universal and Targeted Practices
    • Module 3 – Individualized Supports
    • Module 4 – Leadership

 

  • The course content on the platform is owned by Trifoia.com: 
    • Birth to 5 ePyramid Modules
    • Implementing the Pyramid Model in Family Child Care
    • Targeted Strategies for Successful Inclusion of Children with Disabilities
  • Users may access course content for personal or professional development only. 
  • Users may download certificates earned through the Platform. 
  • Copying, distributing, or publicly sharing course content without permission is strictly prohibited. 

 

4. Payments & Coupons 

  • Staff/Internal users and program participants access courses for free using the provided coupon/discount code. 
  • External users may request access and receive an invoice for payment. 
  • All invoices must be paid according to the instructions provided. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and only if agreed in writing by Kids Included. 

 

5. Data Collection & Tracking 

  • The Platform collects and stores the following information: name, email, program, province/territory, city, job title, password, course progress, and certificates. 
  • The Platform may also use Google Analytics to track user activity and improve services. 

 

6. Account Termination 

Kids Included reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts if users: 

  • Violate these Terms of Use 
  • Provide false information 
  • Misuse the Platform 
  • Fail to pay invoiced fees (for external users) 

 

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability 

  • The Platform and its content are provided “as is.” Kids Included makes no guarantees regarding accuracy, completeness, or results of using the Platform. 
  • Kids Included is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform. 

 

8. Governing Law 

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in Alberta courts unless otherwise agreed.
